Stallions Add JV Team. For 8th Graders Too.

Thanks to the overwhelming support and interest, the Stallions Ice Hockey Program (SIHP) is excited and pleased to announce the addition of a Stallions Junior Varsity (JV) ice hockey team for the 2007-08 season.

Varsity Head Coach Tom Maxwell says of the addition; "The success of the varsity program is rooted in the feeder programs. This is a great step towards developing a successful hockey program."

The Stallions JV team will be playing under USA Hockey rules allowing high school age players from other schools, including home schooled and those that will be in the 8th grade for the 2007-08 school year to join the team.

"The addition of another team to the program will allow all the players and particularly the goalies in the system to get plenty of game time action;" saysAssistant Coach Jon Edwards.

The Stallions JV team will be competing in the Junior Varsity Captial Hockey Conference against such teams as Athens, Newark, Troy, Westerville and Hilliard.

Program General Manager Lisa Janszen concludes; "Adding a JV team to our hockey program is a natural complement. It is developmental tool that will do nothing but reap benefits for the program, both on the ice and off the ice."
