Desales Southwest Swing
The Stallions Varsity Ice Hockey Team (3-9-0-1, 0-2-0-1) hits the road this weekend to visit the Panthers of Springboro and the Sycamore Aves. Both teams play in the Southwest Ohio High School Hockey League with Springboro being the 4th SWOHSHL team DeSales will have faced this year (1-2-0-0).
The Stallions faced the Aves earlier this year in the Midwest Thanksgiving Tournament, falling to Sycamore 5-0.
The Stallions lifetime record against SWOHSHL teams is 1-5-0-0.
Up first; the Stallions will travel to Dayton, Ohio to face off against the Springboro Panthers at the South Metro Rink this Friday, December 21st at 4:30pm. For directions visit www.ArenaMaps.com.
The Panthers are a young team that features no seniors on their roster. The experience for this team will come in the form or 4 juniors, the rest of the 15-man roster consists of sophomores and freshmen. Springboro is currently 0-2-0 in league play.
This will be the first time these two teams have met.
The second road trip of the weekend will take the Stallions down I-71 to the city of Cincinnati to face the Sycamore Aves.
Having already lost to Sycamore the Desales players know they have a tough road ahead of them. The game will be played at Sports plus on Saturday, December 22nd at 8pm. For directions visit www.ArenaMaps.com.
The Aves are 1-2-1 in league play and have an unknown overall record as their website also does not list game results.
This will be the third time these two teams have met. The Aves won their first meeting during the previous season.
