End of Year Celebration

The St. Francis DeSales High School (DHS) varsity ice hockey team concluded the 2006-07 season with a banquet at Villo Milano. Speeches were presented by the team Captains, DHS athletic director Mike Asbeck and head coach Greg Andreason. The festivities were hosted by the team's general manager Lisa Janszen. Several players were recognized for their achievements over the past season.

Corbin Steinhaus, Josh Stemen and freshman Luke DeJarme were recognized by the coaching staff for best balancing their academics with the team.

Lisa Janszen received the team's Stallions Award for advancing the status of the program off the ice.

Freshman, Shane Dalluge was recognized by his teammates as the 7th Player for his great attitude and significant contributions to the team.

The Stallions Ice Hockey Booster Association and the off-ice officials awarded the Purple and White Award to Ian Schnied as the team's most intense competitor over the 2006- 2007 season.

The coaching staff and team captains recognized Joe Salerno as the Freshman of the Year for his contributions to the team both on and off the ice.

The coaching staff awarded the Most Improved Player to freshman Ryan Williamson for his outstanding improvements on the ice during the season through consistent effort and hard work.

The coaching staff recognized team captain Corbin Steinhaus as the Defensive Player of the Year and Ben Janszen as the Offensive Player of the Year. Both players demonstrated outstanding abilities in their positions over the 2006 - 2007 season.

Joe Salerno was once again recognized by the coaching staff when he received the team's Most Valuable Player Award.

Salerno, Schneid, Steinhause, Ben Janszen, Colton Mieskowski, Stemen also received their All Conference Honorable Mention accolades.

The festivities were concluded with each player receiving their varsity letters, a short speech by graduating player Josh Janszen and a 4 minute video presentation created by him.
