The main objectives of the Stallions Ice Hockey Booster Association are to help the Stallions Ice Hockey Program by:

• Supporting the Purple Objective
• Providing financial support
• Managing program budget and pay bills
• Providing management and operations for all SIHP activities
• Providing volunteers and management for all committees

Governance

The SIHBA is headed by a board of directors made up of the President, Vice President, Treasure, Secretary and chairpersons of standing committees. It is governed by a stated set of goals and by-laws.

The current goals of the SIHBA are:

• To support the DHS varsity ice hockey team
• To develop a feeder program consisting of a;
  • Bantam travel team for the 2009-10 season.
  • Select team for the 2010-2011 season.
• To continue the scholarship program
• To build a team center for the 2013-14 season.

Standing Committees

Coaches Committee: shall be chaired by the varsity head coach. He/she is responsible for all activities and input related to the coaches and coaching of the SIHP teams.

Players Committee: shall be chaired by a current varsity player, elected by the players of the SIHP. He/she is responsible for all activities and input related to the players of the SIHP players.

Working Committees

The SIHBA has 5 working committees each of which have very important roles to support the Stallions Ice Hockey Program and are headed by volunteer Committee Chairs. Each committee's chair is responsible to recruit volunteers to accomplish the responsibilities of the committee. These committees' responsibilities are outlined in the bylaws and briefly described below:

Marketing Committee: Assist the head coach in pursuit of the Purple Objective through the marketing of all SIHP activities including but not limited to: assist with game & player promotion, team civic volunteering, media relations - notify local newspapers of all events and game results, oversee hockey pep squad, and responsible for the end of year banquet, player accolades & senior night.

Fundraising Committee: Responsible for planning and executing all SIHBA fundraising events. In addition, the Fundraising Committee is responsible for obtaining sponsorship and outside financial support for the SIHP.

Merchandise Committee: Works in conjunction with the Marketing Committee chair to promote the SIHP through the purchasing, marketing and sale of branded apparel & accessories.

Volunteers Committee: Responsible for providing volunteers for game operations, including off-ice officials.

Travel Committee: Works in conjunction with the head coaches for providing all travel support related to the teams of the SIHP including means of travel, hotel and functions.
